Croagh Patrick in Autumn

Croagh Patrick in the West of Ireland is first and foremost a holy mountain, it is a mountain I know well and love. I love how after three years of hard work men from Scotland and Ireland have crafted, with great care and respect, beautiful steps to the summit. Making this sacred and wild mountain accessible to those in need or who are drawn to its beauty. The environment impact is reduced thanks to the path .The colours in this painting are from a hike up the mountain one Autumn and the golden hues reflected in the setting sun as I concluded my evening. It is original art on canvas, oil and cold wax, unframed 70cmX70cm.
